Sunday, August 8, 2010 On Sunday afternoon at 1621 Hrs, the Gloucester County Communications Center started receiving multiple calls reporting a structure fire on Royal Crescent Court in the Mount Royal Section of the township. Upon arrival Engine 1912 found an exterior fire on the corner of a three story apartment building. The crew went into service with a 1 ¾ hand line and knocked down the bulk of the fire. Crews from Gibbstown and Mantua Twp assisted with checking for extension in the three apartments that were affected by the fire and overhauling the upper floors. There was minor extension into the first floor apartment. Additional mutual aid units responding were Ladder 2316 and RIC Unit 1518 along with Gloucester County EMS. The fire is under investigation by the East Greenwich Township and Gloucester County Fire Marshal’s Offices.  Photos courtesy of East Greenwich Fire Offical Joe Lowe.
